MKP appeals Zuma's election disqualification, citing IEC's failure to furnish reasons, exceeding its jurisdiction
. The MKP is contesting a verdict by the Electoral Commission of SA on former president Jacob Zuma's ability to compete in the 29 May general election.
The party argued that the IEC had added mkparty.co.zo, while the commission's objectors inserted [email protected], when their proper email address was [email protected] orIn the results, all of the above renders the decision procedurally unfair and/or irregular. Even in the event that these failures may be overlooked or condoned in the interests of justice, the decision will remain invalid upon further grounds set out below.
The MKP argued that it was the National Assembly, not the IEC, which may determine and control its internal arrangements.
