Mkhwebane joins the EFF to 'continue protecting the poor'
Former public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane said that her decision to join the EFF was not due to any dissatisfaction stemming from her recent dismissal.If you thought that Busisiwe Mkhwebane's dismissal just days before her term ended would mark the end of her public presence, think again. Mkhwebane made headlines again as she was announced as a member of the EFF on Monday.
Mkhwebane then proceeded to read a declaration accompanying the membership form. In response to questions from the media, she began by clarifying that she had never been a member of the ANC. She stated:Mkhwebane claimed that she was recruited by several political parties.
Mkhwebane said that her decision to join the EFF was not due to any dissatisfaction stemming from her recent dismissal. Mkhwebane subsequently announced her intent to challenge this decision legally, describing her dismissal as an"injustice" that occurred on Steve Biko Day.
