“I don’t hate Minister Pravin Gordhan and I don’t hate President Ramaphosa,” Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane said at a gala dinner held in Durban.
Durban - Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has said she does not have ill-feelings towards President Cyril Ramaphosa or Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and she is simply executing her constitutional responsibilities.
A non-governmental organisation, Ubumbano Lokuthula Organisation, had organised the event in which Mkhwebane was a guest speaker and answered questions. She said she was doing her work without fear, favour or prejudice to investigate complaints that had been launched against senior government leaders. She said she never initiated investigations, but she only reacted to complaints that were brought before her.
