Following Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla’s rant on X, the MK Party says no member, regardless of position, is above its constitution.The uMkhonto weSizwe Party Party says the X posts made by party’s member of Parliament, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, insulting secretary-general Floyd Shivambu are unacceptable and constitute a direct violation of the party’s disciplinary code of conduct.

Extend formal apologies to all structures she serves in or leads, including the Southern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament. National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson advocate Mthunzi Mhaga said the matter was delayed because it was the first time that the NPA charged someone based on content posted on social media for content that they consider amounts to incitement to commit terrorism.

“The process of investigating the matter, therefore, became more protracted than we anticipated. It is why it took almost three years for the matter to finally have a decision made by the prosecution team, a memorandum presented to the national director of public prosecutions to authorise the prosecution,” he added.
