Peel police say one of their officers has recovered a sacred First Nation headdress that was missing.The Jeep belonged to Scott McLeod, the Chief of Nipissing First Nation, who was in town for a hockey tournament.
An officer out on patrol in Brampton spotted the stolen Jeep in a parking lot and recovered the headdress.“Through proactive policing, our officers were able to locate and recover the stolen ceremonial headdress of Nipissing First Nation,” said Chief Nishan Duraiappah of Peel Regional Police.
