The search is still on for Nick Frischke, despite three Hout Bay robbery suspects admitting to robbing him around the time he disappeared.

Nick Frischke, arrived in South Africa on Monday, February 6, and allegedly went missing on Valentine’s Day.

The 22-year-old German tourist booked into an AirBnB in Pinelands and was last seen about a week later when he left his accommodation in the morning.An extensive search has been ongoing on the Hangberg trail between Hout Bay and Sandy Bay where he was allegedly dropped off to go hiking.reported last week that Frischke’s visa credit card was found and recorded in a police logbook of stolen property.

In a statement that was posted to the Hout Bay Community Policing Forum’s Facebook page on Tuesday, Anthony Chemaly, chair of the CPF wrote: “We can confirm this morning that three suspects in the disappearance of Nick Frischke appeared in court on Monday and they have admitted to robbing Mr Frischke.”“The victim’s backpack and cellphone were recovered as well as a knife.

The CPF said on Friday that the missing tourist has still not been found despite “a massive effort from authorities and volunteer services. Hout Bay NSRI, a Western Cape Government Health EMS rescue squad drone team, an Emergency Medical Services rescue squad trail search and rescue team, a Police K9 search and rescue team, WSAR and WSAR K9 search and rescue team have been scouring the area for days now.
