A 63-year-old man reported missing from Victoria on July 27 and described as a 'high-risk' person has been found dead, according to police.

In a news release Friday, VicPD say David Johnstone, 63, was found deceased on Thursday, Aug. 18, in Victoria. “David’s death is believed to be non-suspicious,” VicPD said, also noting that the BC Coroners Service has launched its own investigation to determine the facts surrounding his death. Following David’s disappearance, Reginald and Jen Johnstone, David’s dad and stepmom, said they were told by police that David took a taxi to Clover Point and did not return home.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.
