The puppies being sold may originate in a puppy mill. They will not be spayed or neutered. A dedicated volunteer has been fired as a result of an error in judgment. This man might go on to continue selling puppies illegally.
It seems to me that justice, in this case, is backwards, and the volunteer could have been counseled on her actions. The shelter has lost a dedicated volunteer, and the man is free to sell puppies illegally. I would hope that cooler heads would prevail in situations such as this.
