Orlando Pirates' inconsistent form in the DStv Premiership continued after being held to a goalless draw by ten-man Richards Bay FC on Saturday evening. Read more:
Pirates made five changes after their defeat to Sekhukhune United, as goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane and Bandile Shandu took the places of the suspended Richard Ofori and Thabiso Monyane while Olisa Ndah, Deon Hotto and Monnapule Saleng returned.
While the Natal Rich Boyz struggled to create anything, the hosts had a big opening with ten minutes left of the first stanza after Shandu went through on goal but his cut-back towards the lurking Zakhele Lepasa was crucially intercepted and smothered by goalkeeper Salim Magoola. The Buccaneers were on the front foot early in the second stanza, but they were forced to make a change shortly before the hour-mark after Goodman Mosele picked up a shoulder problem and was replaced by Collins Makgaka.
