Joan Mir says he still believes “we can do something great together” at Honda in MotoGP and doesn’t think Marc Marquez’s departure “will change so much” at the team.

Last week, Honda announced that it had reached an amicable agreement with eight-time world champion Marquez to part ways at the end of the 2023 season with a year left on his contract. On Thursday morning, Gresini Ducati subsequently nnounced that it had signed Marquez for 2024. Mir, who joined Honda this year from Suzuki, says he was “not surprised” that Marquez elected to leave HRC but doesn’t believe it will have a significant impact on the team next year.
