Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees Minister Sean Fraser, the third cabinet minister to visit Sudbury in two days, says new budget will attract cleaner and greener investments
As Canada continues to invest in clean technology, it means the country will have a greener economy which will in turn create more employment with good-paying high-technology jobs in cities such as Sudbury and other parts of Canada.
Fraser said the new budget released by the Liberals last week is aimed at making life more affordable, creating more good-paying jobs and investing in better health care. Fraser added that he was pleased to see that Ionic has continued to invest in new technology to make the company competitive at a global level so that Ionic automation products are not only being used in Northern Ontario, but around the world. Fraser said this will make investment more attractive.
Previously, it said self-employed people would not get express entry. Then it was realized that most medical doctors are in fact self-employed. Fraser said that it was an easy fix to change to rule, but said it is not enough at this time. He said there is an urgent need to get more health care workers into rural and remote communities.
