The Dome , now upgraded with new roof and reinforcements, allows public access to National Assembly sittings for the first time in years.Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson , has welcomed the completion of The Dome , a temporary structure now housing sittings of the National Assembly .

The Dome has undergone significant upgrades, including the addition of a new roof sail and structural reinforcements, ensuring it can host sittings in all weather conditions. Additionally, the public will now be able to attend parliamentary sittings in person for the first time in many years. "The structure now provides a functional and reliable solution, ensuring that Parliament can continue its work uninterrupted," said De Villers.

"The Director-General and his team worked tirelessly, even through the December holiday period, to ensure that the project was completed on time for Parliamentary sittings. We extend our sincere thanks to them for their dedication," he said.
