Minister Buthelezi reaffirms commitment to service delivery and whistleblower protection
Minister of Public Service and Administration Inkosi Mzamo Buthelezi briefs the media on Monday ahead of the official launch of the 2024 Integrated Public Service MonthPublic Service and Administration Minister Inkosi Mzamo Buthelezi has reaffirmed government of national unity's commitment to serving all South Africans through effective service delivery and protecting whistleblowers who expose corruption, as Public Service Month begins.
He made these remarks during a media briefing in Pretoria on Monday, ahead of the official launch of the 2024 Integrated Public Service Month . The IPSM, observed annually in September, highlights the role of public servants across different government spheres in providing services to citizens.The month-long observance includes various programmes and activities focused on the Batho Pele principles, which aim to transform the public service into a citizen-oriented institution.
As Public Service Month begins, Buthelezi urged the country’s 1.3 million public servants to embody the values of service and be results-driven.
