An Isuzu Elf minibus overturned after being hit by a Honda Freed minibus on Tol Cipali Kilometer 164.400, Majalengka Regency, West Java, on Friday (5/4/2024). The Director of Traffic of West Java Police, Commissioner Wibowo, confirmed the incident. He said that the driver of the Honda Freed minibus allegedly fell asleep and crashed into the Isuzu Elf minibus. The Honda Freed with license plate B 73 WEE was driven by Sukmo Cahyo and carried three passengers. The Isuzu Elf with license plate K 7563 C was driven by Ali Sopyan and carried 14 passengers. Sukmo was startled and turned the steering wheel to the left, causing the collision with the Isuzu Elf. As a result of being hit by Sukmo's car, the Isuzu Elf was pushed towards the left shoulder of the road and overturned.

”Akibat ditabrak mobil yang dikemudikan Sukmo, Isuzu Elf terdorong ke arah bahu jalan di bagian kiri hingga terbalik. Kendaraan ini terbalik ke arah timur dengan roda bagian kiri ke atas,” kata Wibowo. Ia menyatakan, penggunaan tempat istirahat di jalur tol wilayah Jawa Barat selama arus mudik dibatasi hanya 30 menit. Cara ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi kepadatan kendaraan di tempat istirahatAntrean kendaraan yang akan memasuki tempat istirahat Km 86 B dan Km 86 A Tol Cikopo-Palimanan, Subang, Jawa Barat, Sabtu .Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Kesehatan Jawa Barat Vini Adiana Dewi meminta para pemudik menggunakan pos kesehatan yang tersebar di jalur mudik dan tempat istirahat.
