Karl Jacobs, known for playing Minecraft on Twitch and YouTube, is partnering with Dark Horse Comics for a new series: Time Traveler Tales.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Minecraft YouTuber and Twitch streamer, Karl Jacobs, will have a graphic novel adaptation of his Tales from the SMP series: Time Traveler Tales. Dark Horse Comics is partnering with the gamer, who is known for his collaborations with MrBeast, another YouTuber. Now, Jacobs will team up with comic creators to bring his Minecraft anthology series to life.
The server was created by Dream and GeorgeNotFound, YouTubers who made it invite-only specifically to tell fictional stories in collaboration with several guest players. Although the server was shut down this past April, the stories told in it are inspiring a new Dark Horse Comics series, starting this December.Karl Jacobs and Minecraft Combine in New All-Ages Comic Series Deadline shared a preview of the series.
The preview for Time Traveler Tales #1 does not reveal very much, though it does show some slight design similarities with Jacobs' in-game avatar and the artwork promoting each episode. Like his character, Oliver has brown hair in a similar style and wears purple, while Jacobs' recognizable swirl design is incorporated into the cover as a time travel swirl.
