Canadian Army Reserve training being conducted across southern and eastern Ontario this weekend will make its way through the Trenton area.
Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Service Battalion, 23 Support Company is conducting driver and convoy operations training from Friday through Sunday between Hamilton, Ottawa and Petawawa with their return route going through Trenton and Kingston.National Defence says this important training is being conducted to keep local Canadian Army Reserve members’ skills current on convoy drills, and for unit discipline and the safe and effective operation of specific vehicle platforms.
Participating personnel will remain within their vehicles as dismounted drills are not planned, except for maintenance purposes. All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience in these areas during the exercise dates.
