Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new three-year contract at the Premier League club, ending uncertainty over his future.
Image via @Arsenal / Twitter. The 42-year-old Spaniard had entered the final 12 months of his deal at the Emirates, but is now expected to stay until 2027.
The BBC said the Spaniard’s new deal is expected to be confirmed before Sunday’s north London derby at Tottenham. “We are on it and we will take care of that in the right moment,” said Arteta, who had previously been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.“Hopefully the club thinks the same thing and the players I work with, who in my opinion are the most important ones.”
Kaizer Chiefs have taken the lead over Orlando Pirates in the race for this red-hot Bafana Bafana attacker with the deal entering the latter phases.
