The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may not have Tom Brady as their signal caller anymore, but wide receiver Mike Evans is confident in the two quarterbacks they do have.
Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask will duke it out for the starting job when NFL training camps open later this summer, and Evans had high praise for both of them. . “I’m really impressed with what I’ve seen with Baker. Whoever the quarterback will be, I’m positive they’re going to make the right choice and we’re going to win some games.”
The Bucs are coming off an 8-9 season last year with the future Hall of Famer as QB, which was still good enough to lock up the NFC South.Mayfield has had plenty of ups and downs during the course of his career which has included stops in Cleveland, Carolina, Los Angeles and now Tampa. Evans is coming off his 9th straight 1,000 yard season, an NFL Record to start a career.
The record for consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons is 11 by Jerry Rice, and Evans says he’s coming for it.
