Rep. Sharice Davids (D-KS) secured a return to Congress by defeating former state GOP Chairwoman Amanda Adkins (R-KS) in Kansas's 3rd Congressional District.
The district, which voted for Joe Biden over Donald Trump 51.2%-46.7% in the 2020 presidential election, covers the Kansas City suburbs of Overland Park and Olathe and was the second time in a row Davids beat Adkins.
Adkins had attempted to attach Davids to Biden, but ultimately the congresswoman was able to not be brought down by the unpopular leader.
