This image wasn't tweeted from an Xbox using Game DVR, because that's not a thing you can do any more...

After a user on Twitter posted that they can no longer upload their gameplay clips and screenshots to Twitter from their Xbox console, Microsoft revealed that the function has now been removed for both Xbox and PC's Game Bar. You'll now need to use alternative methods to share your gaming highlights, such as the Xbox app on mobile., the official Xbox account said:"We have had to disable the ability to share game uploads to Twitter directly from the console and Game Bar on Windows.

No reason has been given for the move, but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say it could have something to do with Twitter's new pricing system. The social media company's new policy charges companies a starting fee of around $42,000 per month for access to the Twitter API, and with a price like that as a starting fee for simple integration with the service, we could only imagine the kind of money that would be expected each month to have it connected to consoles and PCs.

Whether or not the feature will return in the future, we don't know, but you can be sure we'll let you know if it does. Did you make use of the Twitter sharing feature? Drop a comment below and let us know!
