The diet guru has lifted the lid on the potential health risks that can come from eating too much of a certain type of food.
When you're trying to lose weight or generally just eat a little healthier, you'll know that consuming plenty of whole foods, vitamins and nutrients should be a key priority.
And one reason why more and more people could be gaining weight is due to an abundance of ultra-processed food in diets. These foods are often high in sugar, salt, fat and chemicals that all contribute to poor health. To put this to the test, Michael decided a few years ago to change up his diet and add more UPF as part of research he was doing for a TV documentary at the time.
Not only did he put on weight, he also snored more, experienced brain fog, was more anxious and didn't sleep very well. His blood sugar levels also increased to 'diabetic level', but this was all resolved after switching back to his Fast 800 diet for 10 days.
