Toronto police say no injuries were reported following the ‘hazard’ incident involving three people on the roof of the rapid transit train.
Metrolinx is investigating an “extremely dangerous act” after Toronto police reported people riding the roof of a westbound GO train Tuesday evening.
Toronto police said the incident occurred in the Dufferin Street and Gardiner Expressway area, around 6 p.m.No injuries were reported according to police. Police said similar reports came from Long Branch Station in Etobicoke. Metrolinx spokesperson James Wattie said Metrolinx was aware of these reports and their investigation is underway.
“We are investigating and reviewing CCTV footage. As of this time, there are no major impacts to our GO train service,” Wattie said. Wattie said individuals can face “steep fines” if caught, and “pay the ultimate price if engaging in these dangerous acts.”
