Don't panic Switch gamers, according to insiders the remasters of Metroid Prime 2 and 3 are still coming to the console.
, two noted and well regarded Nintendo insiders, made separate claims in the past, with the latter recently assuring fans that, yes, that plan has not changed.
Originally, according to Rogers, the plan was to ‘remake/remaster the entire trilogy,’ though Grubb claimed many months later that only the first game would see a full remaster. Metroid Prime 2 and 3 will supposedly still be remastered but not to the same extent as the first game. So, they’ll feature updated controls but the graphics will be left as they are, as opposed to Metroid Prime Remastered which has had a very noticeable glow-up.
In the wake of the first game’s re-release, Twitter user MaxLWright pondered if this was still the case. Grubb responded with a simple ‘Correct,’ meaning, as far as he knows, Nintendo’s plans haven’t changed.
