Metro warns of planned power outage tomorrow

The City of Ekurhuleni warns residents of Boksburg to brace themselves for a five-hour power outage today .

According to metro spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, the planned power supply interruption between 08:00 and 13:00 will allow technicians time to do the much-needed upgrade of the equipment at the Dawn Park substation. The affected areas include Klipportjie, Groeneweide, Windmill Park extensions one and two, Jozi housing flats, HFR Trucking Company; and Boksburg Correctional Services.

“The upgrade work is necessary to enhance the stability of the power supply in the area,” said Dlamini.Also Read: Lack of spares leaves large parts of Boksburg without power for days
