Meta is beta testing a paid subscription service that will allow users of Instagram and Facebook to become verified
“Meta Verified” service will cost $11.99 per month for the web or $14.99 per month for iOS usage.
The company will roll out the service in Australia and New Zealand this week before expanding it to other countries. Other perks that come with the service include protection from imposter accounts and a direct line to customer support. Customers must show a government ID that matches their name and profile picture on their accounts to get the blue badge. Eligible users also must be older than 18.
