The Meta app WhatsApp is in hot water in Nigeria where it is being fined over $200 million for alleged privacy policy breaches.

An investigation by the Nigerian consumer protection watchdog alleges that Meta has more lax private data consent policies for Nigerians than it does for users in Europe.
