Serving PC Cliff Mitchell, 23, appeared in court to deny five counts of rape and two of kidnapping.
A serving Metropolitan Police officer has pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape, kidnapping two people and a breach of a non-molestation order.
PC Cliff Mitchell, 23, appeared via video link at Croydon Crown Court to deny eight counts during a brief preliminary hearing. Mr Mitchell, who is suspended from duty, is accused of five counts of raping the same woman, and kidnapping her and another person.Mr Mitchell, who was remanded into custody, spoke only to confirm his date of birth, enter his pleas and tell the judge he understood what he was saying.He was not on duty when he was arrested in September, Scotland Yard said.
Mr Mitchell previously appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court, which heard allegations that he approached a woman with a knife last month and that she was bundled into his car.
