Another hot spell is just around the corner, according to the latest from the Met Office
The Met Office says a tropical storm currently battering north America will bring hot temperatures in the low 30s to the UK next week.
The hot and humid air mass will push across the southern half of the UK over the weekend, bringing the potential for heavy rain in the east on Monday. "Further north and west within this warm air, outbreaks of heavy showers or thunderstorms are possible," he said. "As well as the hot daytime temperatures, a very warm night is also expected on Sunday night into Monday”.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Nick Silkstone explained why tropical storms in America have an impact in the UK, despite not impacting the area directly.
