Met Office verdict on Yorkshire thunderstorms as June showers predicted

The weather is likely to remain wet for much of the rest of the week

More thunder is on its way to Yorkshire along with further showers as the weather is set to remain wet this week.

The Met Office said: "Changeable with bright intervals and occasional showers. Showers likely heaviest Friday afternoon with a rumble of thunder probable in places.Over the weekend, the rain will continue along with "unsettled" conditions, alongside wind and some sunnier spells. They added: "Remaining generally unsettled this weekend with blustery showers or longer spells of rain interspersed with some brighter spells.
