The meteorologists at the forecasting agency have had their say on the potential of a second heatwave following the ongoing spike in temperatures - perhaps towards the end of September or even October
The Met Office has issued an update on whether this week's 28C to 32C temperatures could be followed by another heatwave. .
But the weather conditions could change over the weekend and Oli Claydon, from the Met Office, said there is "no indication at the moment of another strong heatwave after this". He added: "Through the weekend, we start to see some heavy, potentially thundery, showers developing but only isolated. There is a little bit of uncertainty as we start to get that far ahead.
