It's getting cold!
The Met Office have responded to rumours that a repeat of the Beast from the East could bring up to four inches of snow to the UK, causing havoc.
Blankets of snow resulted in closed roads and schools as well as a red snow warning from the Met Office, signifying a risk to life. Whispers of a second-round of the storm started recently when Jim Dale, meteorologist for British Weather Services, said the Beast from the East could be "opening its eyes once again".But the Met Office have now said that predictions of another blistering snow storm from the east are premature, with only the mountains of Scotland expecting snow soon.
Reassuring those dreading the cold winter ahead, the spokesman added: "Although this might bring temperatures back down closer to average for the time of year, there is no suggestion of anything similar to the significant cold spell in 2018."
