It's been a while
For several days, people across Greater Manchester have opened their curtains to be met with the same gloomy sight. Dull grey skies have lurked over the region with the sun failing to make an appearance.
But some sunshine is forecast for later this morning in some parts of Greater Manchester. Sunny intervals are expected in eastern parts of Greater Manchester - including Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside - between 10am to 1pm. Manchester could also see some sunshine at around 11am, according to the Met Office. Overcast conditions will return from this afternoon, with highs of 11C and lows of 6C or 7C overnight.
