Temperatures in parts of the UK could rise above 30C from next week, as Met Office forecasters predict we could be in for a spell of hot weather. The change in conditions comes as millions have endured a washout summer in many parts of the UK, including Nottinghamshire.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 25C in Nottingham next week, with some bright and sunny days forecast. In the Met Office's long-range forecast, however, 'very warm weather' is being predicted. "A spell of sunny, very warm to hot weather is likely to develop. Many areas, especially in the south and southeast, could expect to see temperatures above 30 Celsius. There is low confidence in the extent and duration of high temperatures, with exact wind direction and speed key.
