According to the Met Office, sunny intervals are forecast for our region this morning . Conditions are then expected to remain largely dry for most of the day.
The mercury will slowly climb throughout the day before reaching around 18C this afternoon. Forecasters predict it may feel breezy this afternoon with some strong winds forecast, but it will feel warm in the sunshine.Temperatures are expected to stay warm for much of the rest of the week, with more largely dry weather forecast. On Wednesday, sunny and cloudy intervals are predicted with highs of around 17C during the afternoon.
Thursday looks set to be the warmest and brightest day with the mercury climbing to 19C. Sunny spells are forecast for much of the day. Into the weekend, the weather is predicted to stay mainly dry and mild. On the general forecast for the North West today, the Met Office said: "Rather cloudy at first with patchy light rain to the north.
"Brightening up with sunny periods in the afternoon but staying cloudy on western coasts. Breezy for many but feeling warm in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 17C."Read more of today's top stories here
