The latest weather trends show high-pressure building to the North of Ireland, which experts say could bring a risk of a much colder start to the month of March.

Rain will clear eastwards overnight and will be followed by clear spells and scattered showers, some heavy and possibly of hail. With the clearance of the rain, winds will become westerly and ease light to moderate. It will become colder too, with minimum temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees, so frost and ice are possible.
Thursday Thursday morning will be mostly dry with sunny spells. It will become cloudier through the day and a few light showers will develop. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with a light to moderate northwesterly wind.
