Angry Crab Shack, a Mesa-based seafood restaurant chain, has finalized a deal with a franchisee to take the concept out of the United States.
Angry Crab Shack, which was founded by former Arizona State University and NFL football player Ron Lou, is an experiential restaurant concept that serves up seafood boils with Cajun and Asian-inspired sauces. The company has been trying to expand through franchising since 2017. Mason and M Ltd.’s deal with Angry Crab Shack calls for two other locations to open in London and Cambridge. The overseas firm also has the option of becoming a master franchisor in the U.K., which means it could sign other franchisees up to open locations in their dedicated region.
