Monica Latrice Cannady, 35, of Pontiac, and her sons Kyle Milton, 9, and Malik Milton, 3, were found dead Sunday afternoon in a field in Oakland County, Michigan.
PONTIAC, Michigan — Authorities say a woman suffering a mental-health crisis took her young children outside in freezing temperatures, leading to the deaths of the mom and two children from hypothermia.
Cannady “believed someone was trying to kill her and everybody was in on it … including police,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said at a Monday news conference,. “Family members attempted to get her help, but she refused and she fled with the children.”
