The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday announced the arrests of two men suspected in a shooting that resulted in the deaths of two men.
when at about 8:30 p.m., police responded to Mansion Road. The Sheriff’s Office said police found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. One person died at the scene, and two others were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Through their investigation, the JSO said, it was determined that the incidents were connected. Investigators said the suspects involved in the original incident reported on Mansion Road were identified as Orial Baker, Odale Baker and Latroy Montgomery.The Sheriff’s Office said it’s believed that Orial Baker and Montgomery entered a residence, and at some point became involved in a physical altercation with people inside.
Kim Anderson said her son, Maurice Anderson, was killed in the shooting. She said she got a phone call from a JSO detective, who told her she was going to receive some long-awaited news.She said her son did not know the suspects, but knew one of the victims, who was one of his friends.
