Melissa Barrera on her new horror flick ‘Bed Rest’: ‘It had me weeping in my trailer’

“Scream” star Melissa Barrera, who stars in the new Tubi psychological/horror thriller “Bed Rest,” said she “was crying inconsolably” after reading the script.

“Bed Rest” centers on Julie Rivers , who’s expecting a baby with her husband, Daniel . Upon moving into a roomy, stately and slightly dilapidated country home that’s being renovated, weird and frightening events start to occur, but only to Julie — who initially keeps them to herself, even after she is restricted to bed rest after tumbling down a flight of stairs.
