Meghan Markle “didn’t understand” the point of the royal walkabouts and why she wasn’t paid for them during her time as a working royal, a source has claimed.
Members of staff quoted in the book have revealed that Meghan had been heard saying “on at least one occasion”: “I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this” in relation to the public walkabouts the royal family are famous for. They added that on their first official trip to Australia, they were “going down a storm” with Meghan being seen to have a “refreshingly informal approach” - but what was happening behind the scenes was allegedly very different.
