A palace source revealed,"Given their decision to step back, an office at Buckingham Palace is no longer needed. While the details are still being finalized and efforts are being made to redeploy people within the Royal household, unfortunately there will be some redundancies." As Meghan and Harry won't be acting in an official capacity as senior royals, they will no longer receive money from the Sovereign Grant. As such, they won't have the funding to pay for the Buckingham Palace staff they once had, or a need to continue running their London office.
