“We’re excited to be back in California,” said megabus' Colin Emberson. “Our customers have eagerly been awaiting our return and we’re happy to be able to provide a new network of travel options just in time for the summer rush.”
While it's not quite the high-speed rail many are hoping for, a bus system linking California cities resumed service in San Francisco on Monday.
Megabus is coming back to California starting this week, with routes connecting the Bay Area to other parts of the state. The national transportation giant made this move anticipating an uptick in travel this summer, according to a press release issued earlier this month. “We’re excited to be back in California,” said Colin Emberson, the vice president of commercial at Megabus. “Our customers have eagerly been awaiting our return and we’re happy to be able to provide a new network of travel options just in time for the summer rush.”
The company will start by offering three trips a day between major cities statewide, including Anaheim, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Fresno, San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento.
