Bruce Elsworth is chef at Elsworth Kitchen in Skipton which he owns with wife, Rebecca. They have also recently launched new venue EK at the Mill – both are in Skipton.
Bruce, a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain and former recipient of the prestigious Acorn Award, started his career at Craven College. To date, he has worked in some of the best kitchens and with the best chefs including as operations director at The Angel at Hetton, at Keelhams Farm as head of taste, at Michelin star restaurant Rascasse in Leeds and with well known chef, Nigel Haworth. It had been left empty for some time, so we stripped it back to its original features and installed a bar so it’s the perfect space for hosting business meetings, photoshoots, wedding receptions, private functions and our own food & wine evenings! We even have our own civil ceremony license now. We have also set up a co-working office space, resulting in the venue being full of amazing creative people and industries. We can see how our small network is growing already!My favourite at the moment is a flavour-packed wild mushroom and artichoke salad. It has many stunning flavours and textures with sautéed wild mushrooms, Jerusalem artichoke, vegan trundle, mayo, rocket leaves and crispy cavelo nero. It’s a warm, earthy yet elegant salad.
