Each time he moved, the leash knotted around his neck tightened.
In a race against the next train, ACS officer David Edwards had to work quickly to gain the scared dog’s trust. Then, he used a humane catch pole to help remove the dog off the tracks. Before Edwards could walk the dog to his truck, a train thundered past them. Edwards came up with the name Lucky.Now, Lucky has a new name, courtesy of his adoptive family — Duke.
