Upper Allen police have charged a UPMC medical assistant after they say he used his position in a doctor’s office to sexually assault an unsuspecting patient.
Police charged Eric Tarter, 39, of Susquehanna Township, with sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, both felonies, after the incident last year at UPMC’s Fisher Road Family Practice, at 2140 Fisher Road. The patient told police he provided a urine sample at his medical appointment on August 8, 2022. Then a different “doctor” entered the exam room and told him he had to do another test.
