has a vacancy for an Investigative Reporter at City Press. The reporter must initiate investigations and features on his/her own and in conjunction with other reporters in the newsroom. This position requires a senior journalist who has experience in investigative reporting and working across various platforms, including print. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of breaking investigative stories and publishing investigative packages and features.
The successful candidate would be able to work across a variety of subjects, including governance, health, education, business and politics. He/she would also have a wide array of contacts across these key areas and a drive to consistently produce hard-hitting exposes and features, which dominate the national conversation.
Liaise with colleagues, news editor and digital editor about investigative features and the best use of information.Degree or diploma, preferably in journalism, is a strong recommendation.
