Meat recall: Over 3K pounds of beef recalled due to potential contamination

A Kansas-based meat packer is recalling 3,436 pounds of boneless beef chuck after routine testing discovered E. coli. contamination in its product, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service

The FSIS said that meat packer Elkhorn Valley Packing of Harper, Kansas, voluntarily recalled its beef packed on Feb. 16 and distributed to nine states.
