McLaren Artura GT4 Racer Debuts Without The Hybrid System Of The Road Car | Carscoops carscoops
thanks to the omission of the hybrid system. The space previously occupied by the battery is now used for the fuel cell and ancillary drive systems.
The Artura GT4 comes equipped with a Bosch Motorsport ECU for the twin-turbo V6 and a modular motorsport wiring harness. Power is transmitted to the rear axle through a bespoke seven-speed gearbox featuring shorter ratios than the 570S GT4, working together with a mechanical limited-slip differential.
Suspension and brake cooling efficiency have also been improved over the outgoing racecar, while the wider Pirelli tires at the front allow for more grip and less tire degradation. Finally, servicing has been made easier thanks to the easily removable bonnet and rear bodywork. Driver aids include motorsport-specific ABS, adjustable Traction Control, optional Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, optional V-Box telemetry, and an optional Collision Avoidance System for your track-ready ADAS.
The Artura GT4 can be ordered through McLaren Motorsport Retailers. The racecar will continue its development program with the first units set to be delivered just in time for the 2023 season. The model will take part in the
