Mbappe & Dembele fire PSG to big victory
Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele struck twice each to inspire Paris Saint-Germain to a 4-1 victory over Lorient and took them to the brink of the Ligue 1 title on Wednesday evening.
Mbappe extended the lead midway through the half when he collected a pull back from Mendes in the box and finished superbly beyond goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo. Dembele looked to inspire the league leaders and champions-elect again moments apart from a move involving Mbappe, but he was unable to make it count where it mattered.
Les Merlus got a reprieve in the final 20 minutes when Mohamed Bamba escaped one challenge in the area to head in the top corner following a surging cross.
