Mazda's CX-90 Unboxing Tease Was Literally Teasing The Opening Of Boxes | Carscoops carscoops
the “next extraordinary moment in Mazda history begins January 12” and many people took that to mean the CX-90 would be unveiled as the teaser was accompanied by a tweet saying “Where does the story of Mazda’s future begin? Find out tomorrow in Mazda CX-90 Unboxed.”
Unfortunately for all of us, Mazda was being literal and was simply teasing an unboxing video. Putting aside the ridiculousness of teasing a teaser, the automaker released a new video that shows Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada and a team of crew members opening boxes containing parts for the CX-90. That’s as boring as it sounds and the video gives us a glimpse at the crossover’s wheels, headlights, center console, and seats. We also get a brief look at the grille and powertrain.Sanada says that over the next few weeks, they’ll assemble Mazda’s most ambitious vehicle ever. The clip then shows a countdown implying the production model will finally debut on January 31th. There’s also fine print revealing the crossover is slated to launch this spring.

It will feature a more aggressive take on their Kodo design philosophy and offer customers the “best of both worlds in terms of performance and efficiency.”
